Scholarships are granted by the Rectorat to foreign researchers (living abroad) who would like to undertake a research stay on a doctorate level .
Requirements:
1. Minimum inscription of two semesters at a foreign university recognized by the University of Fribourg on a doctorate level2. Foreign residence
3. Being younger than 35 upon arrival to the University of Fribourg
4. Being engaged in a study-project at the University of Fribourg

3. Copy of passport
4. Confirmation of residence
5. Bachelor-diploma or primary equivalent university diploma from a university recognized
by the University of Fribourg
6. Master-diploma or equivalent college-diploma from a foreign university recognized by
the University of Fribourg
7. Grade report of the Bachelor and Master studies (Transcript)
8. Confirmation of the university that the scholar has been inscribed for a doctorate for at
least two semesters
9. Confirmation letter by the professor that accompanied the doctorate from the foreign
university
10. Description of the research-project at the University of Fribourg
11. Description of the necessity of a scholarship for the implementation of the research-
project
