A two-year position as Post Doc is open at Aarhus University, Department of Animal Science from 1 June 2013.
Research area
The main activity will be research in the feasibility of using industrial process-optimization techniques such as EVOP in precision livestock farming. The post doc will be part of a larger project, PigIT, which focus on model based production and welfare monitoring and model based decision support based on on-farm monitoring on pig farms. Other activities will comprise participation in the department’s biostatistical teaching programme at undergraduate and graduate level.
Qualifications
The applicant should have a PhD in biostastistic or animal science with strong interest/competences in biostatistics and experience with interdisciplinary research. Furthermore, experience with precision livestock farming and some insight into commercial pig production will be an advantage.
