UK 10 PhD Studentships in Synthetic Chemistry (Biological / Inorganic / Organic)

The EPSRC funded DTC in Chemical Synthesis is a well established research centre based in the School of Chemistry at the University of Bristol.

We train the next generation of synthetic chemists - future leaders of the UK chemical industry and academe. Our graduates will be equipped with enhanced team-working and problem-solving skills that will enable them to successfully address the full range of molecular-based problems of the future.

We are seeking
applications from students with interests covering the whole breadth of the Synthetic Chemistry discipline, in particular:
  • Biological
  • Inorganic
  • Organic

Studentships are 4-years in duration and cover fees and maintenance for qualifying applicants.

As the Centre has attracted much additional funding from leading UK Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical & Fine Chemical industries, there is the opportunity for these PhD studentships to be further augmented with industrial placements and bespoke education and training.

Applications are welcomed from UK/EU students with, or expecting to gain, a first or upper second class honours MSci/MChem degree (or equivalent).
