The School of Historical Studies announces fully-funded
PhD studentship to applicants wishing to pursue doctoral research in any
area of history. The studentship will pay UK/EU tuition fees for three
years for doctoral research in early modern history, english local
history medical humanities, medieval history, modern american
history, modern british and european history, modern international
history and urban history. The studentship includes a stipend worth
£13,590 and Research Training Support Grant of £200 for each year.

Eligibility: -Applicants
must have a first-class or high upper second-class honours degree (or
equivalent qualification) in history or a relevant discipline and meet
the University’s standard English language entry requirements.
It is expected that applicants will have a relevant Masters degree with
merit or distinction or be able to show evidence that they will achieve
this before October 2013.
