The Chair of Econometrics at the
Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin invites applications for two doctoral
positions (wage level 50% E13). The positions are available from
February 1, 2013 and are limited to a maximum of six years.
Applicants should have an
above-average degree in economics, statistics, econometrics,
mathematics or related fields with a solid background in statistics,
econometrics and empirical economics. The successful applicants are
supposed to serve as teaching and research assistants and are expected
to write a doctoral dissertation in econometrics or empirical
economics/finance. Moreover, they have the possibility to participate
in the "Berlin Doctoral Program in Economics and Management Science".
Good English language skills are indispensable.
Current research at the Chair of
Econometrics focuses on (but is not restricted to) financial
econometrics and empirical finance including high-frequency finance,
market microstructure analysis, price discovery, estimation of
volatility and liquidity, high-dimensional covariance prediction,
systemic risk and financial network analysis.
The Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin
