Luxembourg : PhD student in the field of Computational Bio-Nano Pysics

The University of Luxembourg invites applications for the following vacancy in its Faculty of Science, Technology and Communication

Doctoral candidate (PhD student, M/F) in the field of: Computational Bio/Nano Physics 

  • Ref: NANOMECH/F1R-PHY-PUL-13NANO
  • Fixed-term contract 3 years, full-time  (40 hrs/week)
  • Student and employee status
The PhD student will be a member of the Physics and Material research unit (Theory of Soft Matter) within the Faculty of Science, Technology and Communication at the University of Luxembourg. He/she will work under supervision of Dr. Joshua Berryman

Your Role
  • Write a thesis in the domain of Physics
  • Contribute to research in the field of Computational Physics
  • Participate in the research project “Twist and bend mechanics of DNA at the nano-scal

Your profile
  • MSc, diploma or 1st class BSc in Physics, Chemistry or some other mathematical science. 
  • EITHER advanced programming skills OR solid background in physical chemistry.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
