The Database Group at Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago ( http://www.cs.iit.edu/~dbgroup) invites applications for a

PHD RESEARCH POSITION

in the general area of database systems.


JOB DESCRIPTION
-----------------

You will conduct cutting edge database  research in areas such as data provenance, data integration, stream data management systems, and big data. Your responsibility involves writing and submitting research papers, building real systems, and conducting experiments.

REQUIREMENTS
-----------------

-Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science
-Strong background and interest in databases
-Programming skills in C/C++, Java, and scripting languages/shell script
-Practical experience with database systems
