The PhD
program in Environmental Management at Montclair State University is
seeking highly motivated individuals for doctoral assistantships
starting Fall 2013. The Environmental Management program is a
multidisciplinary platform that seeks to prepare environmental scholars
who will recognize and analyze relationships among scientific,
technological, societal and economic issues. The program has multiple
areas of doctoral research available, including but not limited to:
environmental engineering, green information technology, global change, geographical information systems (GIS), remote sensing, environmental spatial analysis, ecofriendly products, robotics and the environment, nanotechnology, environmental economics, materials and the environment, environmental policy, geochemistry, environmental biology, quality and remediation, etc. Deadline for Fall 2013 application is March 15. Students interested in areas such as green IT, GIS, spatial analysis, robotics, ecofriendly products, nanotechnology and materials, please contact Dr. Aparna Varde whose multidisciplinary research in data mining, database management and artificial intelligence pertains to or significantly overlaps with these areas (vardea@mail.montclair.edu). She can serve as a dissertation advisor / committee member for doctoral work on these topics.
