MIT Portugal Program is an international partnership involving MIT,
universities and industry in Portugal. The goal of the initiative is to
develop world class education and research programs in the emerging
field of engineering systems. MIT Portugal scholarship is for pursuing
MSc, Master’s and PhD degree level. The International students can apply
for this scholarship. The scholarship covers the tuition fees. The MIT
Portugal degree programs represent a historical first, in that they are
each offered in association by multiple Portuguese institutions. MIT
Portugal Scholarship applications open each year. MIT Portugal ensures
that no applicant receives less favorable consideration on the grounds

Scholarship Description: The MIT Portugal Program is an international collaboration seeking to demonstrate that an investment in science, technology and higher education can have a positive, lasting impact on the economy by addressing key societal issues through quality education and research in the emerging field of engineering systems.

Duration of award(s): Visiting students will stay at MIT for a range of periods depending on the course of study. Energy Master’s students may stay a couple of weeks, while PhD candidates may stay a few months up to18 months.
What does it cover? The PhD programs cost approximately 3000 Euros per year. The CTIS MSc program costs 2074.40 Euros, and the Sustainable Energy Systems Executive Master’s at Lisbon is 5000 Euros, the Executive Master’s in Sustainable Energy Systems at Porto, in Bioengineering Systems and in Technology Management Enterprise are approximately 3000 Euros.
