MIT Portugal Program is an
international partnership involving MIT, universities and industry in
Portugal. The goal of the initiative is to develop world class education
and research programs in the emerging field of engineering systems.
MIT
Portugal Program provides world-class training – including real-world
preparation for future employment – in leading-edge areas of
engineering, management and policy to top students who seek to become
leaders in technological innovation.
Applications are now open for the 2013-14 academic year in the following fields of research:
•Bio Engineering Systems: Advanced Studies and PhD
•Sustainable Energy Systems: Advanced Studies and PhD
•Engineering Design and Advanced Manufacturing: Advanced Studies and PhD
•Transportation Systems: Master and PhD
All
courses are given by consortia of Portuguese universities with
lecturing by MIT faculty. For students with an international outlook
seeking to develop a systems approach to their research and career
development, these programs offer a special opportunity to engage with
the best that MIT and Portugal have to offer.
Within
the framework of the MIT Portugal Program, Fundação para a Ciência e a
Tecnologia (FCT) launches the call for Doctoral Scholarships in the
above mentioned fields of research. These scholarships are available to
candidates holding a master degree or equivalent in the areas targeted
by the MIT Portugal program.
Deadline for applying to the programs:
PhD and MSc – March 31, 2013
Executive Masters – June 15, 2013
